  • Profile: Guangzhou Fangcun Huacheng Boya Arts Crafts Factory specializes in the facture of bone carvings, pottery sculptures and glass fiber reinforced plastic sculptures with the themes from Chinese and foreign masterpieces, myths and Buddhist stories, so that our products are of high taste, excellent skills and great varieties. Of the same technique with the ivory carving, the bone carvings have very high artistic appreciation value and collection value and are exported to five continents in the world. In 1995, such works from our factory as the 50-layer ivory ball titled "Immortals on the Birthday Ceremony" and the great bone carving titled "Bring in Wealth and Riches" won the gold medals in the appraisal of the Guangdong Industrial Arts Masterpieces Exhibition. The works titled "The Monkey King" even won the gold medal in the China Industrial Arts Golden Pieces Exhibition 2001, and the great bone carving titled " The New Sunshine of Yuexiu" won a second gold medal in the First Guangzhou Tourist Arts & Crafts Creation Contest and the special praise of the Guangzhou Municipal Government, which then took such works from our factory as "New Sunshine of Yuexiu" as a gift to foreign guests on behalf of the municipal government and the mayors. Since these years, Master Zhang, our vice chairman and director, has achieved great efforts as well as good reputation for his million own works of bone carvings, ivory carvings from overseas and Chinese. Two of them are rewarded with National Level Golden Award, ten of them rewarded with Provincial Level Golden Award and two of them rewarded with City Level Golden Award. In 2002, our two great pieces titled "Plain Sailing" and "The New Sunshine of Yuexiu "were collected by Guangdong Arts & Crafts Curiosa Hall. Though our registered capital is only USD25,316 when founded in 1993, our fixed assets have been increased to the value of USD5,063,291 in these recent years. Ever since 1995, our factory has been appointed as a provincial and municipal bone carving export base. We participate in the biannual Chinese Imports and Exports Commodities Fair (Canton Fair), where our bone carvings are called 'Chinese Quintessence' by many foreign businessmen and sold all over the world with a yearly greatly increased export volume. Now every Boya bone carving is attached with a "Certificate of Works" signed by a great industrial artist. Up to now, our products are of over 300 designs with various specifications.
